Will I be blogging 10 years from now?
First thought is....no. You see am NOT a creature of habit and I don't do that well with long-term and 10 years is about as long term as you can get. The real question is, do I even want to be blogging 10 years from now? Well, it depends.
If it means doing what I am doing, the way I am doing it now - absolutely not. I'm not dismissing or devaluing what I do or have to offer currently, but I need movement. Doing the same thing in 10 years sounds stagnant to me. I am not attached to things the way I used to be. I no longer stick with something just because. Not to say that I am a quick "kicker to the curb", I'm not. But life is short and I don't want to be engaged in something that has outlived it's purpose.
However, evolution is sooooo possible. Everyday I read or hear stories of people who started a specific project to have it transform into something else altogether. When I look at blogging 10 years from now under that lens - it is very possible.
What I know for sure is whatever I am doing in 10 years, I want it to satisfy my soul and touch people's lives. If blogging fills those needs, then I'm game. If it remains fresh and engaging I could do it forever. If life doesn't give me something entirely new.
