Rating my Confidence - I am at My Lowest When...

My level of confidence changes day to day.  Somedays, like today, it's not that high, maybe a low 6.  Other times when I am doing something I love well...it's high, as much as an 8 out of 10.  I have no idea what my 'average; would be because I am all over the map when it comes to self-confidence.    But this is what I know....

I am at my lowest when I devalue the progress I have made in my life
I am at my lowest when I feel as though I messed up
I am at my lowest when I can't see myself in what I am doing
I am at my lowest when I feel I have let my family down
I am at my lowest when I talk trash about someone else
I am at my lowest when I believe all the foolishness in my head
I am at my lowest when I deny the voice of God in my life
I am at my lowest when I am pretending all is well, when all is not
I am at my lowest when I feel like I must hide from the world
I am at my worst when all is cluttered and chaotic
I am at my worst when I feel like I can't do anything right
I am at my worst when I feel like every aspect of my life is suffering
I am at my worst when I blame myself for everything that is wrong
I am at my worst when I think there is something wrong with me

I am at my best when I am sharing
I am at my best when I am laughing hysterically with my husband
I am at my best when I can get my kids to enthusiastically sing the chorus to "Oh Darling!"
I am at my best when I pull together a cool vintage outfit for someone
I am at my best when I am singing (after I have practiced and warmed up sufficiently)
I am at my best when I am writing without worry
I am at my best when I have my conversations with God within in the pages of my journal
I am at my best when I remember who I am
I am at my best when I am using my talent
I am at my best when I am speaking and I can see people mentally connect the dots
I am at my best when I am walking my dogs and they are actually following directions
I am at my best when my environment is inspiring and beautiful
I am at my best when I accept my limitations and invest in my strengths
I am at my best when I know that I don't need fixing

  1. Your lists ring true to me too! I am at my best when I don't allow people's negativity to effect me (that is not an easy one for me, it drains me), and I am at my worst when things become unorganized and chaotic, as I work best with less clutter and at my own pace.

    1. Thanks Winnie.
I really need organization, but unfortunately I am pretty bad at being organized. Sigh...when I win the Lotto I'll hire an expert.
